Black Friday Fundraiser (BFF) 2019
This year, our Key Clubbers gathered around at different locations around Livingston to raise money for the Community Food Bank of New Jersey! Thank you to our dedicated, hard-working volunteers!
FALL RALLY 2019
This year, LHS Key Club members headed off to Six Flags on Sunday, October 13th to spend a day of fun and service at Six Flags! During this event, members connected with other students form regions in New Jersey and explored some of the most daring rides in the park! We are so excited for a great service year!

Notations CareOne Event!
Our volunteers were able to collaborate with the Notations Select Chorus group at LHS to host an event for our local CareOne! This successful event enabled many seniors to not only interact with our volunteers but likewise enjoy the music!
Regional Training Conference (RTC)!!
This year (June 2019), Livingston Key Club was able to host a Regional Training Conference, right here at our high school! This event was comprised of various key clubbers and district board members engaging individuals in conferences, classes, and informative seminars! With a great turnout and lots of new information, our board members, chairpeople, and members have learned the true meaning of community and support -- all through our fellow Key Club and Kiwanis Communities!
KIWANIS KARNIVAL 2019!!
Our volunteers rocked another great Kiwanis Karnival in 2019! From helping out at different games and rides to making some of those delicious funnel cakes, our volunteers really showcased themselves and their dedication to service through this memorable event. We thank all who assisted in any way, and look forward to more events as we wrap up the service year!
INTERGENERATIONAL PROM 2019!
Intergenerational Prom, one of LHS Key Club's largest events was a huge success!! This event allows for two completely different generations to come together and enjoy an evening where they can interact and learn about each other in a fun and friendly environment. With this event, we are bridging the gap between two generations that tend to be foreign to each other. Thank you to all who helped out!
District Convention (DCON) 2019!
District Convention, or DCON, is an annual gathering of hundreds of Key Clubbers—from all over the state of New Jersey—to celebrate the end of a successful service year and the beginning of a new one. In 2019, the Toy Story-themed DCON took place at the Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch, NJ. Throughout the weekend, our members attended workshops, received recognition for their accomplishments, participated in onsite service projects, and elected the next district executive board. We look forward to creating more memories!
Gertrude Hawk Chocolate Fundraiser!
Numerous volunteers assisted the Key Club Board in organizing and selling Gertrude Hawk Chocolate Bars. This is an annual fundraiser which we hope to continue in order to raise funds for the Community Food Bank of NJ. We have sold countless chocolate boxes, and more are on the way!! We thank all who assisted us in this fundraiser!
CareOne St. Patrick's Day Crafts!
Our volunteers at the local CareOne held an unforgettable Arts and Crafts event this St. Patrick's Day! Senior citizens were able to enjoy creating art, drawing, and coloring, all while interacting with our student volunteers! Both volunteers and senior citizens immensely enjoyed this novel event! We thank all who helped our or participated!!
BOARD ELECTIONS 2019!
Congratulations to our new Key Club Board! Each deserving board member will for sure continue the ongoing LHS Key Club Legacy! We look forward to a great year!
CareOne Valentine Day Crafts 2019!
A huge THANK YOU to all of our dedicated volunteers who helped out at this years CareOne Valentine's Day Event!! This event, in which volunteers assisted the elderly in making crafts, turned out to be a huge success, as countless CareOne residents left feeling a "new sense of warmth" and "love!" Thank you to everyone who participated and helped out! We look forward to future CareOne events!!
HOT CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER 2019!
This year, volunteers helped in a novel fundraising idea: HOT CHOCOLATE JARS! Our volunteers worked to make creative jars, complete with hot chocolate mix, chocolate candy, and a personal touch of tissue paper! Thank you to ALL who helped!
SPIKE OUT VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT!
Spike Out Hunger! Our volunteers helped to set up, run the concession stand and registration, and participated in the tournament. We had a great turnout and thank everyone for all of their effort and contributions towards the district project: Hunger in New Jersey!
Our Key Clubbers enjoyed a night of recognition as members were inducted! Thank you again to all of our well-deserving members who put in tremendous effort to ensure the well being of the Livingston Community! We look forward to a great service year!
Hillside Food Bank Trip 2018!
Our Key clubbers were able to donate their time and effort to helping the NJ Community Food Bank this year!

Carpini Cup 2018! Our Key Club volunteers assisted in the annual local soccer tournament in Livingston, Carpini Cup. Members helped to stuff bears to raise money for pediatric cancer and sold treats! The event was a true success as we had numerous volunteers support our Livingston community! Thank you!

This year, from Friday, 3/23 to Sunday, 3/25 at the Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch, NJ is the 72nd Annual Key Club DCON! DCON is an amazing weekend where we attend workshops, hear motivational speakers, participate in contests, & have fun! We get to stroll on the boardwalk in Pier Village, attend dances, and eat great food, spending the weekend with hundreds of other awesome high schoolers in New Jersey.
If you want to attend DCON, please fill out the registration form ASAP and hand it to the board or the club advisers!
Want to be a mentor to Heritage middle schoolers? Mr. Shawn Kelly is starting a program that’s perfect for you. Mentor middle schoolers about school, life, and just be a friend to them! Just give us your email and we’ll contact you once the program starts. If transportation is an issue, we may have busing.
Kiwanis Karnival 2018!
This exciting event is coming up and will be held between Tuesday, 5/8 - Friday, 5/11! It will be held at 66 E. Northfield Road (across from ShopRite). Be sure to attend, as it is both mandatory and an amazing experience! There will be a variety of volunteering opportunities at the carnival (handling games, making food, etc.)!
Spike-out Hunger Volleyball Tournament
On Saturday, January 6, between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM, Key Club divisions 15 and 19 will co-host the Spike-out Hunger Volleyball Tournament at Livingston High School (30 Robert Harp Drive, Livingston NJ). Each year teams will compete to help raise money for Hunger in New Jersey! If you are interested, please sign up online under the "Signups" tab.
Upcoming Events: LACD Shine A Light On Autism Night!
Just as a reminder, please make sure to sign up for events on the Signups tab! You can always find out more about these events under "Events." There are many upcoming events, and one in particular is the Shine a Light on Autism Night, which is going to be held on April 30th (Monday), from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. It will be held around the oval, and volunteers will help spread awareness about autism around the oval!
On Sunday, October 8 at Six Flags Great Adventure, we have an awesome gathering of thousands of NJ Key Clubbers at Six Flags. This year’s theme is “Board? Come to Key Club!” Permission slips must be handed in by Wednesday, September 20. The late due date is Monday, October 2. We’ll be leaving at 6:45 AM from the parking lot outside the cafeteria (teacher’s lot). We’ll return around 7 PM. Wear your Key Club Shirt to the Fall Rally!

DCON Blood Drive!
This year we are finally having our first ever Blood Drive at DCON! As of right now, the drive is scheduled to be on Saturday, April 1st from 11AM-4PM. Students will be able to donate from 1:30 pm- 4 pm and Advisors can donate from 11 am - 4 pm. Anyone can sign up by going to tinyurl.com/njkciblood and using the sponsor code "nj key club" if they are interested in donating! Click the location "Ocean Place" and schedule your time to donate. You must be at least 16 years old to donate with parental consent (forms attached) or 17 years old without. All forms and requirements are attached below, along with a flyer.
Remember, one donation can save up to 3 lives and every two seconds someone in the US needs blood! Thank you very much!

We're heading towards the end of the 2017-2018 service year! With this comes an exciting event: elections for the new Livingston High School Executive Board for the 2018-2019 Service Year. Elections will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd after school in the cafeteria.

The annual District Spike Out Hunger Tournament is a volleyball tournament with fun events and activities for all spectators to help NJ Key Club's District Project Hunger in NJ. All proceeds will be going to the NJ Federation of Food Banks.
This will be held on February 12th at Theodore Schor Middle School in Piscataway NJ from 2 pm to 6 pm.
How much will it be? Either $5 or $3 with two canned goods for each player. Must have a minimum of 5 players!
Will it be fun? Yes!
Do I have to be good at volleyball? This game is for your enjoyment and for charity, skill is optional.
This year's District Convention (DCON) will be held in Ocean Place Resort and Spa, located right on the beach! Between the awe-inspiring sessions and workshops, the leg-breaking dances and the thought provoking campaigns, DCON is definitely a weekend to remember! This year, DCON will be Friday, March 31st to Sunday, April 2nd. Be sure to download the 2017 DCON Form and fill it out if you are planning to attend DCON. We are extremely proud to announce that Katrina Pham is now the Lieutenant Governor of District 19! It is truly extraordinary and an honor that both Katrina and Ed Hou (also a Lieutenant Governor) are able to serve at even higher levels than the High School. Congratulations to Katrina and Ed and we look forward to working with them in the future!

Fall Rally is the largest gathering of over 3,000 Key Clubbers to kick off a new school year of service! It is held each year at at Six Flags Great Adventure. This year’s theme is “Once Upon a Time in Key Club!" Learn about Key Club while having fun at Six Flags!
Remember, the cost of the trip is $45 if paid by September 21st, and $50 if paid by October 3rd!

Shirts and Fall Rally
Pick up your shirts in room E285 Thursday (October 8) or Friday (October 9) after school! Especially if you are going to Fall Rally this Sunday (October 11), pick up your shirt these two days! If you are not going to Fall Rally, you can wait to the third meeting (October 14) to pick it up.
REMINDER FOR FALL RALLY: This Sunday (October 11), we'll be leaving at 6:45AM from the parking lot outside the cafeteria (the teacher's lot). Please get to school on time so we can leave for Six Flags! We'll be returning around 7PM at the high school. Bring money for food and don't forget to wear your Key Club shirts!

Imagine a weekend in the woods with about 65 Key Clubbers learning about service leadership and having fun while doing it – that is exactly what Key Leader is!
This year, from December 4th-December 6th, Kiwanis is sponsoring their annual Key Leader in Camp Cross Roads in Port Murray, NJ! As mentioned, about 65 students join together for a weekend to learn about what it means to be a leader. From ropes courses to informative workshops, Key Leader is an overall amazing experience! At Key Leader you are able to meet teens from all over New Jersey who share a passion for service just like you! The friendships and bonds you form at Key Leader are incredible. The great thing is that not just Key Clubbers attend – students not in Key Club, as well as 8th Graders can join in on the fun!
Fall Rally is the largest gathering of over 3,000 Key Clubbers to kick off a new school year of service! It is held each year at Six Flags Great Adventure. Admission includes a fun and informative session, a pass to ride the rides all day, and Fright Fest. Learn about Key Club while having fun at Six Flags!

Hey guys! We have a new event to volunteer at this Thursday!
At 9:30am on Thursday we need you guys to come help at St. Phils to help move furniture for housing the homeless. You will be able to leave school early to help out. However, you must get a pass from Mr. Ladolcetta in E284 at the beginning of the day so you can leave class. If the job is completed before 12 you must come back to school.

Progress with ELIMINATE!
We have good news! India has officially eliminated maternal and neonatal tetanus! As all of you know, the ELIMINATE project is Kiwanis International's major service project that aims to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus, or MNT. It will conclude in July of this year.

Annual Fundraiser: Mother's Day Rose Sale!
Pick up a recording sheet starting MondayApril 27 before lunch in room E285 - we will be selling at lunch for the whole week. The roses will be sold for 3 dollars each and the proceeds will go to the Eliminate Project! We will also need helpers after school on May 7to put together the roses and all help is greatly appreciated. You will get service hours for selling and for helping out on May 7. Don't forget to remind the buyers to come pick up the roses after school May 8 in the cafeteria as well! Proceeds go to the ELIMINATE Project and the Community FoodBank.
